

| Pastor Girma Gari is a man of faith with a great passion for the Gospel of Jesus Christ to win the lost and bring about The Kingdom of God in The world at large and for his people in particular. His ministry dates back to his native country Ethiopia as he served in Kale Hiwot Church in Addis Ababa in various posts from Bible study leader to being the Elder of the church. He was involved with “Gospel For Rural Ethiopia” ministry for more than 18 years. After his move to The US, he founded “Gospel for Rural Ethiopia” here in The States and served as its chairman until recently. During his service as a chairman he has coordinated and organized efforts to support many Evangelists in The Rural part of Ethiopia. To full fill his sense of calling in his life he entered to Shalom International Bible College in Oakland, California and earned his degree in theological studies. He is known to most believers in The Bay area for his dedication and service as well as here in Cincinnati, Ohio. Pastor Girma for those who knows him is a great Husband, a genuine servant of The Lord and a great friend. Pastor Girma has been called to a full time ministry more than 12 years ago. After many prayer and hearing from The Lord and consultation with his lovely wife Wude Lema he finally answered the call in his life and gave his full time for ministry in 2004. He started his Church “Nazarene Evangelical Church” in Cincinnati, Ohio only with three members including himself and his wife and currently over 40 members. He was ordained by his spiritual father and mentor Dr. Pastor Dan Seleshe in May, 2005. God has blessed his ministry so richly that in the last two years more than half of his members are new converts who are baptized in his Church. His burden extends beyond Cincinnati. He is working to impact the hall Mid-West region through the gospel and continue his ministry with “Gospel for rural Ethiopia” |
